I offer weekly Postnatal Yoga classes for support during the Postpartum period. New parents or caregivers and babies (up to 1 year) are welcome in this class. While little ones are welcome (and you are encouraged to nurse, change diapers and do whatever is needed for baby during class), the focus of this class is on the new parent and the special needs post labor and delivery. Our practice will address recovery from birth and rebuilding muscles that became underutilized during pregnancy.
We will also address the specific needs of new parents, including tight shoulders and necks from carrying and nursing babies and much needed time for relaxation and rejuvenation. This class is a beautiful balance of strength and core building practice to help support the changing postpartum body, and yin, restorative practice to support a system that may be low on energy and low on sleep.
