Yoga Nidra is often referred to as the yoga of sleep. Yoga Nidra practices give us access to a brain state normally achieved in our restful hours of sleep. Because of its ability access this restful brain wave state, some practitioners have equated a 30 minute practice to 4 hours of normal sleep. Given the over-worked, under-rested pace we often set for ourselves, Yoga Nidra can be profoundly healing. I have been teaching Yoga Nidra for over 10 years and integrate it into many of my monthly sound baths offering.
